"I grew up in Falmouth, Cornwall and was influenced by my artistic parents. I got a 1st in Fine Art at Cheltenham, but chose an unrelated career that took me to many places around the world.
On returning to Cornwall, I fell into painting again and now can’t seem to stop. I love to explore the hidden places of Cornwall, painting the movement that I feel from the land. Each painting is a portal to a dynamic, living landscape, describing subtle energy, history and colour.
I paint in watercolour and ink. My paintings work together, they are uniform in size and work well as a modular collection." Ruth Gingell
