In the 1980’s Lesley gained a BA (Hons) in Graphic Design.
After taking a break from art to raise her family, Lesley returned to Fine Art in 2008.
2009 Awarded the Terry Biggs cup for ‘Best in Show’ at the St Albans Art Society Annual Exhibition.
2011 Highly Commended at Patchings Art Festival & the Prize Open at the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists.
2012 Member of the Hesketh Hubbard Life Drawing Society.
2013 Awarded the Clairfontaine Award at Patchings Art Festival
2014 Elected a member, Royal Birmingham Society of Artists & Chelsea Art Society.
2016 Elected a council member of Chelsea Art Society.
2018 Elected a council member of the Hesketh Hubbard Life Drawing Society

Lesley has work in several galleries across the country, including London. Lesley lives in London and St Ives, Cornwall.
Lesley works both en plein air at all times of the year, and in her studio, exploring coastal marine scenes, the abstract quality of water juxtaposed with a solid object, often a boat, building or the coastline. Lesley enjoys the challenge of trying to capture light & movement on the surface of the water.
